Accessibility audit feedback finally made me fix my button contrast after 4 years
A user on a forum for blind developers told me my custom button colors were almost invisible against the background, and I realized I'd been ignoring WCAG contrast ratios for way too long. I went back and added a 3.2 to 1 contrast minimum across all my form controls, which meant scrapping half my color palette but honestly the designs look better now anyway. Has anyone else had a client fight you on contrast requirements because they 'liked the light colors'?

The 3.2 to 1 ratio is barely above the minimum for normal text under WCAG AA anyway, so I'm not sure half your palette needed to go. I've had clients argue over colors that were literally 1.5 to 1 and I just showed them how it looks on a cheap monitor in direct sunlight. Usually shuts them up pretty fast.

That cheap monitor trick works every time, @garcia.miles.
