Noticed a great accessible sign at the Denver Botanic Gardens

They had a plant info plaque with raised, tactile graphics next to the braille, so you could feel the leaf shapes. It's a simple idea that helps way more people than just text. Anyone know other places that do tactile diagrams well?

Used to think braille was the only real option for accessibility. Seeing tactile graphics next to it is a game changer. It opens up info for people with learning differences or anyone who just learns by touch. The Museum of Science in Boston had some good 3D maps you could feel. More places need to copy this idea, it's just better design.

Yeah and if you're looking at getting into it yourself, check out the APH Tactile Graphic Image Library - it's free and has a ton of pre-made templates you can print on swell paper. That's what we used at the community center and it saved us a ton of trial and error.

The zoo here added textured paths, reminds me of what joel536 said.
