Spent 8 hours trying to get a single brush texture to look right
Everyone says to just download a brush pack, but I was stubborn and wanted to make my own from scratch in Procreate. It took me a full workday to realize the grain source image was the problem, not my settings. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something that should have been simple?

Feel your pain on that grain source struggle.

Grain images are the worst. Spent three hours once trying to make a chalk brush work, only to find out my source file was basically solid gray. Always check the contrast on that thing first. A noisy black and white photo usually works way better than anything subtle.
