Found a weird leak behind my bathroom wall after a trip to Home Depot

I went to Home Depot last weekend for some paint and noticed this damp spot near the floor in the plumbing aisle. Got home and checked my own bathroom wall, sure enough there was a slow drip behind the vanity that I'd missed for months. Has anyone else found a hidden water issue after spotting something similar in a store?
