I finally learned the hard way about cheap paint rollers

Bought a pack of 6 for $8 at the hardware store and spent 4 hours picking fuzz out of my living room paint job. Anyone else have a go-to brand that actually doesn't shed?

And honestly it feels like that's just how everything is now right? You try to save a few bucks on something simple like paint rollers or trash bags or whatever and it ends up costing you way more time and frustration than if you just paid double from the start. I've started to think there's a whole tier of products deliberately made to be almost usable so you'll eventually give up and upgrade.

That "almost usable" thing is dead on. I've learned the hard way that the mid-tier stuff is the sweet spot for things like brushes and bags, because the cheap ones are built to fail on purpose. Spend a little more upfront and you won't be throwing half your paycheck at restocking the same junk every month.
