That week I had to redraw 47 sheets because of a bad template

It was a Tuesday in March when I realized my whole project's base template had the wrong title block scale. I'd been working off a copy of a copy from an old job, and the client's logo was tiny on every page. Spent the next three days just fixing that, working until like 10pm. The worst part was I could have caught it if I'd just plotted one sheet at the start. Has anyone else had a template screw up cost them that much time? What's your check process?

Honestly, how do you even come back from that? That's a soul crushing amount of rework. Tbh my whole check process is because of a similar mess. I make a blank sheet with the template and print it to a PDF viewer every single time I start a new set. I zoom all the way in on the title block and all the way out to see the borders. It takes two minutes and saves days of pain.

Ugh, that's brutal. I once lost a whole weekend because a layer was set to non-plot. My check is to print a PDF of the first sheet and actually look at it now.
