Shoutout to the apprentice who tried to fish a line with a coat hanger
We were in a crawl space under a house in Phoenix, and he got it stuck on a nail head. Had to cut the power and crawl in to get it. Anyone ever had a MacGyver moment go sideways like that?

Honestly, calling that a MacGyver moment going sideways feels off. The whole point of a real MacGyver is using what you have to avoid a bigger problem. Fishing for a line with a hanger is just using a bad tool for the job. Getting it stuck and cutting power is the exact opposite of a clever fix, it made more work for everyone. That's just a simple mistake, not a plan that backfired in a cool way.
