Tried a new anti-oxidant paste on some aluminum lugs in a damp panel
I mean, it totally failed after like 2 months, the connection got all crusty and high-resistance. What paste do you guys actually trust for that kind of wet location work?

Wait, isn't the whole point of antioxidant paste to stop that exact crusty corrosion? Sounds like you got a bad batch or a really cheap brand. For damp spots, I've had good luck with the No-Ox-ID stuff, the red kind. It's thick and stays put, never had it wash out or fail early.

Yeah that red No-Ox-ID is solid stuff, reminds me of when my uncle tried to use regular grease on his boat battery terminals. It was a total mess after one season, like green furry monsters grew on the connectors. He switched to a proper paste and it was fine for years, even with all the salt spray. Makes you realize how much the right product actually matters in those rough spots.
