Upgrading to LED lights in a barn uncovered some unexpected residents
I was swapping out old fixtures for energy-efficient LEDs in a client's barn. When I pulled down a section of wiring, a bunch of squirrels came tumbling out of the insulation. We had to pause the job to shoo them out with brooms, and I nearly fell off my ladder laughing.

Last year I found six squirrels living in my attic insulation, they’d chewed right through a vent screen. It was a whole family, and they were not happy about the disturbance. Totally get the eviction notice @shanenguyen mentioned, we had to set up a one-way door for a week. They left behind a huge nest made of my missing gardening glove and some shredded tax documents.
