Warning: I keep seeing people in my town use wire nuts on aluminum wire without any paste.
My neighbor's house almost had a fire last week because of it. Has anyone else run into this lately?

Did they use the wrong paste, or just skip it entirely?

Remember my buddy's PS5 that kept overheating? Turned out the repair shop used some cheap, no-name thermal paste that dried out in like two months. His console would shut down during any big game. We opened it up and the paste was cracked and flaky, like dried mud. He had to clean it all off and redo it himself with the good stuff.
