Spotted a 1990s VCR repair sign still up in a Portland strip mall window yesterday.

The faded sticker said 'VHS head cleaning $19.95' next to a modern phone screen repair shop, and I genuinely wonder if anyone still walks in asking for that service.

Wow, that's a real time capsule. I bet the owner just never bothered to take the sign down. My question is, what happens if someone actually tries to pay for the service? Does the current shop owner just turn them away, or do they know a guy who still has the tools and parts in a garage somewhere? It feels like a piece of the city's history that nobody meant to save.
