That Thursday where I changed 8 brakes in a single shaft

Last month I got called to a 12-stop hydraulic in a downtown Denver medical building. Everything seized, leaking, the works. By 3pm I had swapped 8 guide rail brakes and 2 safeties by myself in a 90 degree machine room. The kicker was the building manager came down at 4 and asked if I could finish by 5 because of some board meeting. I told him I already did and he just walked away. Anyone else ever have a day where everything actually goes right on a repair?

Hang on you did ALL of that in a single shaft? How did the comms work when you were pulling the old safeties and getting the new ones lined up?

Did you have a second guy on the radio below to help with the safeties, or were you just working blind up top?
