That week we had three callbacks on the new Otis units in the downtown high-rise
Everyone on the crew was saying it was just bad luck, but I think the factory preset on the door zone was off by a quarter inch. We kept getting phantom obstructions on the 14th floor, and adjusting the sensitivity didn't fix it. I finally recalibrated the zone from scratch and the problem stopped. Has anyone else run into this on the newer Gen2 models?

A quarter inch on the door zone preset is actually insane. That's enough to throw the whole optical system out of whack. No wonder you got ghosts on 14.

Feel your pain. That kind of misalignment is a nightmare to track down. Been there.
