Shoutout to the client who taught me a serious lesson about patch testing
Three years ago in my Tampa studio, a regular client insisted she knew her skin and didn't need a patch test for a new enzyme peel. The full facial application resulted in a severe reaction that took two weeks of intensive care to calm down. How do you all handle clients who push back on essential safety steps?

Ugh, that's a nightmare scenario. Honestly, I had a client argue with me about a patch test for a lash lift tint, saying she'd had it done before. Tbh, I stood my ground and made it a firm rule, no test, no service. It just isn't worth the risk to their safety or your business. That kind of pushback makes my stomach drop because you know they don't see the real danger.

Right on, @burns.brooke! Good for you for holding the line. It's wild how people treat a basic safety step like it's a personal insult. Like, sorry my concern for your eyeballs is such an inconvenience! You just know the same person would be first in line to sue if something went wrong. Absolutely not worth the stress.
