Landscaping with local wildflowers saved my summer water use.
I was tired of my lawn needing constant watering. Last spring, I decided to replace part of it with native wildflowers from my area. I picked ones that don't need much care and attract bees. The setup was simple: I removed the grass, loosened the soil, and scattered seeds. Now, that section barely needs any water, even in hot weather. My water bill dropped by about 30%. Plus, the flowers look great and change with the seasons. It's a win for my wallet and the local wildlife.
