I finally saw the new bakery sign and the font clash is real.
Tbh, pairing a script font with a bold sans serif just doesn't work for quick reading.

Yeah, that combo is brutal for a storefront. Script fonts need way more space around them to breathe, and slamming it next to a thick blocky font just makes it look messy. They should've picked one simpler sans serif for everything, or just made the script way bigger and the main attraction. Hurts readability for sure.

You're spot on about script fonts needing space to breathe. I had a client last year who insisted on a similar combo, and it was a mess until we fixed it. The key is to give the script room by making it the main thing and using a lighter sans serif for support. When you cram them together, it just confuses the eye and no one can read it from a distance. Sticking to one font family with different weights often clears up these problems fast.
