Funny how that works. I was convinced GPS was just a crutch for operators who couldn't grade by eye. Watching it slice through a job twice as fast was a real wake-up call. Had to eat my words, but hey, progress is progress. These days, I tell all the new guys to learn it before they even think about touching the sticks. Saves so much headache and rework.
My buddy Kyle was the same way, swore GPS was for rookies until he saw it cut his grading time in half. Had to eat his words same as leo_hart13 said. Now he won't start a job without it.
