My chili nights ignore wine tasting notes completely
I make a mean chili and pair it with whatever red wine I have on hand. Focusing on tasting notes like 'pepper' or 'smoke' seems unnecessary when the food is spicy and hearty. Am I missing out by not matching flavors?
