Hot take: Comic fans at my shop argue way less about movie changes these days.

Yeah, those shop wars were something else. Guess we all ran out of energy to care about organic webs.

Putting off a hoof job because the owner said 'next week' turned into a month-long mess

Elizabeth's right that diet is a big part of founder, but skipping trims can make things worse fast. Long hooves change how the horse stands, putting more stress on the feet. That's why a two-week schedule helps catch issues early.

PSA: My old point and shoot camera from 2005 still works great, all because I read a review before buying it.

Well, that's the weird thing about old gear. The bodies were metal tanks, but the stuff inside wasn't immortal. The rubber seals turn to goo, the tiny capacitors leak, and the electronics just give up. It's less about wearing out and more about materials breaking down over decades. You can have a perfect-looking camera that just won't turn on anymore.

Vent: Tracked down a rattling sound under the hood to a loose heat shield. You all deal with this often?

Actually, that's really bad advice. A hose clamp is not a safe fix for something that needs proper replacement. It might hold for a bit, but it's just covering up a problem that will definitely get worse. You're setting someone up for a bigger failure later, maybe at the worst time. The right move is to just fix it correctly now, not rig up a temporary solution that feels lazy. Putting a bandaid on a serious issue is how people get stranded or cause real damage.

Shoutout to the client who wanted wall-to-wall carpet in their aviary
