Maybe it's just me, but there's a basic connection to the history of the craft that changes when the fuel changes. It's hard to explain, but I get why you'd worry about losing that part of it.

Dunno, sometimes the cheap stuff is just as good. I mean, a box of wine works fine for cooking most of the time. But idk, maybe it's just me, but a really good olive oil does taste different from the basic stuff. Sometimes you pay for the name, but sometimes the pricey thing is actually better. It just depends.
