Our neighborhood seed swap got crazy, but I spent way less on food

That pickling twenty jars thing... I know exactly how that goes. Our community swap gave me a huge pile of tomato seeds last spring and I planted every single one without thinking. My garden turned into a tomato jungle and I was making sauce every weekend... had to give them away by the bag. It cut my produce bill to almost nothing for weeks, which was a nice bonus. Sometimes the seed swap madness really does pay off.

My block has a serious dryer vent clog problem this spring.

Okay, but if both have the same symptoms, how do you narrow it down? For example, if the dryer runs but doesn't heat, it could be either. Is there a way to test the thermal fuse with a multimeter? I heard the heating element can short out, but the fuse might just be blown from overheating. Which one fails more often in your experience? Trying to fix mine without throwing parts at it.

Unpopular opinion: Travel writing topics focus too much on pretty views.

Totally get that. My favorite travel memory is from Morocco, not some fancy sunset, but this old shopkeeper who made me mint tea for an hour just to talk. He drew maps on napkins, told stories about his grandkids. That stuck with me more than any photo. Those human moments are what you actually remember years later. Writing should grab that.

Picked a soothing blue for a therapy site, but clients said it looked like a pool cleaner ad.

Honestly, @leoscott, that doesn't surprise me at all. I had a client show me a meditation studio logo that looked just like a rain gutter bracket. Some designs just miss the mark in the weirdest ways.

Pro tip: Painting my living room showed me why color contrast matters for colorblind folks.

Try textured paint samples too, which proves @jackson.sandra's point about designs helping everyone.
