Unpopular opinion: I was reading comics wrong for like 15 years
Honestly, I only read the main story in a comic and skipped all the letters pages, editor's notes, and backup stories. I thought they were just filler. Ngl, I picked up a beat-up copy of 'New Mutants' #98 from a flea market last month and finally read the whole thing, including the editor's column. It explained the joke behind Deadpool's name and totally changed the character for me. Has anyone else had a moment where the 'extra' stuff in a comic actually made it better?
