inWorking on my zine layout has me torn between old-school sketching and digital tools.
Saw a study once about how handwriting on paper uses different parts of your brain compared to typing. It's why doodling a quick flowchart or sketch on a napkin can unlock ideas that staring at a blank screen won't. I'll do that, then take a phone pic and trace over it in a simple drawing app. The paper part is for messy, fast thinking, and the digital step is for making it clear for anyone else to actually understand.

inWhy I no longer rush through pressing signatures after a batch warped.
My buddy Chris rushed signing a stack after a warping session last month. He pressed down too hard on one that was still a bit warm and the signature totally smudged. The customer got it in the mail and was pretty annoyed about the blurry name. Now he lets everything cool and settle for like ten minutes before he even touches a pen, lol.
