One client call changed my entire onboarding flow

A prospect in Denver told me my kickoff call felt like a sales pitch and they almost backed out. I cut the deck down to 5 slides and now I ask them what success looks like before I say a word. Has anyone else had feedback that forced a full process rebuild?
