That $200 automation tool I called snake oil actually saved me 15 hours this week
I laughed when my partner bought this workflow automation platform for our 5 person agency back in February. Told him he got scammed by a slick demo video. Three months later I finally tested it on our client onboarding process. Hooked up a simple zap that auto creates Slack channels, Asana projects, and Google Drive folders from a single form submission. The first time I watched it run I just stared at the screen for 5 seconds. We used to spend almost 2 hours manually setting up each new client. Now it takes 20 minutes total. Has anyone else had a tool they hated turn into something they swear by?

That moment when you watch a zap run and just freeze up is something else. Kinda makes you wonder how many other "useless" tools we dismissed because we didn't take the time to actually set them up right.

Calling it a time saver is one thing, but 15 hours a week? That sounds like you were either doing something way wrong before or the numbers are a little padded. Setting up a client in 20 minutes instead of 2 hours is definitely an improvement, but I'd want to see how many hours that actually works out to over a month before I go praising it like a miracle.
