Dubbed or subbed for rewatches, I finally picked one
I used to flip between dubbed and subbed every time I rewatched an anime, which got exhausting. Last month I started a rewatch of a 74 episode show and forced myself to stick with subs the whole way through. Honestly the voice acting grew on me after like 10 episodes, but I missed catching details while reading. Has anyone else committed to one version for a full rewatch and regretted or loved it?

Swapped my stance on this after a long series last year. I used to think dubs were lazy and subs were the only real way to watch, but now I'm on the side of whatever hurts less on a rewatch. Reading subtitles for 74 episodes straight wore me out, and I ended up missing half the background art because my eyes were glued to the bottom of the screen. Switched to the dub on a second run and caught way more visual details, even if the voices felt off at first. Now I pick based on how tired I am that day, not some rule. It's a lot more chill that way.
