My friend told me my character designs all look like siblings, so I finally started varying face shapes

She pointed out that every single one of my anime OCs had the same narrow chin and big eyes. I spent a weekend just sketching people at a coffee shop in Brooklyn to study different jawlines and nose shapes. Anyone else get a critique that felt harsh at first but totally fixed a blind spot?

oh wait "totally fixed a blind spot"?? i had to read that twice lol. like no way you just casually fixed a whole blind spot without it being more complicated than that. blind spots are literally why mirrors exist and people still crash into stuff. are we sure we're talking about the same thing here? i feel like if it was that easy to fix a blind spot, cars would come from the factory without them. maybe you're talking about adjusting the mirror right or something but even then that's not "fixing" it, that's just moving the problem somewhere else. or did you like install one of those wide angle things? idk man i'm just picturing someone taping a little convex mirror on and calling it a day. if it's something more high tech than that i'm curious but my first thought was "nah that can't be real.
