TIL at the grocery store that anime pacing ruined my patience
I was standing in the checkout line at Kroger yesterday waiting 4 minutes for a price check and realized I've been trained by anime to expect every tiny delay to be a 3-episode arc. Is it just me or did shonen anime mess up our sense of real-world timing?

The 4-minute price check felt like a filler episode.

Honestly "filler episode" is the perfect way to put it (and I totally get why people feel that way). I used to think those kinds of deep dives were useful, like you needed to go through every step to catch hidden value. But after watching this one, it really hit me how long and pointless the whole segment felt. Like, they could have just said "it's overpriced" in thirty seconds and moved on. The rest was just them staring at shelves and repeating themselves, which is not great for pacing. It changed my mind completely, now I'd rather they save those bits for bonus content or just cut them entirely.
