Just blew $200 on a 'universal' dryer motor that didn't fit anything

The listing swore it worked for three major brands, but the mounting bracket was off by a full inch on each model I tried. Anyone know a good supplier for genuine replacement parts that won't lie to you?

Universal parts are a gamble. I always hunt down the exact model number from the old motor and search for that. The extra ten minutes saves the headache.

That "extra ten minutes" often turns into a wasted hour when the exact part is discontinued.

But hunting for an exact number can waste way more time if it's obsolete. A good universal part gets the job done now.
