Noticed a shift in washer drum bearing failures

I saw way more Samsung drums failing around year 4. Now I'm seeing the same issue hit LG machines at year 3. Anybody else seeing this pattern change?

Did cheap plastic drain pumps finally kill these bearings?

Honestly, I read a thread on another forum where a guy tore one of those pumps down and found the plastic impeller was basically just rattling around. Ngl, it's not just the seals, the cheap plastic flexes under load and throws everything out of alignment. Tbh, I've seen a few failures now where the pump housing itself got hairline cracks after a few heat cycles. That lets air in and the bearings run dry, which is a death sentence. So yeah, I think Lucas is onto something, the pump is definitely a weak link in this whole setup.
