Showerthought: I thought those cheap thermal fuses were a total waste of money
For a while, I refused to buy the generic thermal fuses from the big parts websites, convinced they'd fail right away. Then I had to fix a dryer in a pinch for a friend last month and used one because it was all I could get. It's been running fine for over six weeks now with daily use. I guess the quality on some of the off-brand stuff has actually gotten better. Has anyone else had a good run with a specific generic part they used to avoid?

Running" might be the wrong word. It's more like it's been sitting there for six weeks.
