TIL about the 10 cent capacitor test that saved a $600 fridge call
Customer had a Samsung fridge not cooling, and I was about to order the main board. My gut said to check the cheap stuff first, so I pulled the start capacitor and used my meter. It read 3 microfarads instead of 10. Swapped in a new one from my van stock for basically nothing, and the compressor kicked right on. How many of you still do the basic electrical checks before assuming it's the expensive module?

That's a start relay, not a capacitor.

Actually they both look pretty similar.

Tbh I mixed those up for years until my own fridge died.
