Seeing so many butchered elms from rush jobs lately

I mean, idk if it's just me, but my crew has been pushing to finish tree work super fast, and it shows. Last Thursday we had to trim a big elm, and the new guy just hacked at the lower limbs without checking for disease or proper cuts. It's stressing me out because those bad cuts can let in bugs and rot. Maybe it's the company pressure to do more jobs per day, but it feels wrong. I'm starting to think about moving to a smaller shop that actually cares about doing things right. It's just frustrating when you know better but have to watch it happen.

Seen worse cuts on elms that turned out fine. Sometimes the rush is just business as usual.

Tbh I’d be worried about liability too. If a poorly cut branch fails later and damages something, guess who they’re coming after. A smaller shop might actually save them money long term by avoiding that mess.
