I finally stopped shooting weddings on a DSLR and picked up a mirrorless body
After 8 years of hauling a Canon 5D Mark III through 120-degree desert ceremonies, I switched to a Sony A7 IV last May. First wedding in Sedona the new body didn't overheat once while the old one would have shut down twice by the altar. Anyone else make a similar switch for Arizona summer shoots?

A7 IV is a BEAST for desert work. Never looked back after ditching the DSLR heat sponge.

Why do we keep making gear that can't handle the real world until some engineer finally gets it right? It's like phones that overheat if you take them outside, but nobody questions it until something actually works.
