Lost $300 on a shoot because I skipped scouting in the desert
We booked a sunrise shoot near Fountain Hills last month and I figured I knew the spot from Google Maps, so I blew off the scout. Got there at 5am and the whole clearing was fenced off with construction signs, so we scrambled 20 minutes to a backup that had ugly power lines in every frame. Has anyone else eaten a booking fee like that over a location you thought you had memorized?
