Update: I was cleaning out my old laptop from 2019 and found my first forum post asking for help.
It was on a thread about fixing a weird noise in a furnace blower motor, and I was totally lost... just typing 'what do I check first?'. Last week, a new guy on the same forum asked almost the same question, and I typed out the whole diagnostic sequence without even thinking. What's something you used to struggle with that now feels like second nature?

Wait, is a rolling boil really that hard to spot? It's when the bubbles are constant and fast and the water's really moving, not just a few bubbles at the bottom. That simmering aggressively stage is just before it gets there. Honestly, the real win is figuring out the timing so the yolks don't turn gray.

Remember when I had to google how to boil an egg? The instructions said "bring water to a rolling boil" and I spent ten minutes trying to figure out if my water was rolling or just simmering aggressively. Now I can make a whole breakfast without burning the house down, which feels like a major life win.
