Finally got that quarter panel gap right after two full days
It was a 2018 Civic with a weird tweak in the unibody from a prior hit nobody fixed. Spent maybe 16 hours total just on measuring and tweaking the new panel before it lined up. Anyone have a trick for spotting hidden frame damage faster?
My granddad actually swore by that method too. He used to say you could spot a bent frame on a 70s pickup in under five minutes with just a string and a weight. I read somewhere that some old alignment shops still keep a plumb bob around for quick checks before they even bother with the fancy laser machines. It's amazing how those simple tricks from back in the day still work just as good as any digital tool.
