That one Tuesday where I fixed three cars before lunch
Had a weirdly good day last week. A 2017 Civic came in with a busted bumper, a 2015 F-150 with a dented tailgate, and an old Subaru with a quarter panel scrape. All three were done by 1 PM because the paint matched perfect on the first try and the parts actually fit. Anyone else ever get those days where everything just clicks?

You ever get that feeling where you wanna quit while you're ahead? Cause I've learned the hard way that pushing that luck after lunch is how you end up with a three hour job turning into a nightmare when the welder acts up or the paint starts fisheyeing. Best move I ever made was keeping a quick job list for those days, stuff like oil changes or bumper trims that are simple but still pay the bills. That way you're still working but you aren't tempting the universe to throw a curveball. Or just straight up knock off early like you said, that's the smart play too.

...and that's exactly when my cat decided to jump on the laptop and send a "your tires are rocks" email to some poor customer. But honestly, days like that are unicorns in the body shop world. I swear the universe gotta balance out the magic by making the next car take three tries to find a bumper bracket that actually lines up. Last time I had a perfect streak like that I just walked away at 2 PM and didn't even look at the bay door.
