I was dead wrong about those cheap torque wrenches from Harbor Freight
For years I told everyone to stay away from the Pittsburgh ones, figured they'd be garbage after a few jobs. Finally grabbed one on a whim last fall when my Snap-on got borrowed and never came back. It's still holding calibration after 60+ oil changes and brake jobs at the shop on Capitol Hill. Has anyone else had a cheap tool surprise them like that?

Yeah the Pittsburgh stuff is way better than people give it credit for.

Bought a Pittsburgh 1/2 inch drive for $19.99 about five years ago just to keep in my truck for emergencies. I've torqued down lug nuts on three different vehicles and it still clicks at the right spot when I test it against a friends Snap-on. Not saying I'd trust it for engine internals but for suspension and wheels it gets the job done.
