That time the checkout button on my phone was hidden behind the keyboard in a travel booking app
I was in the Denver airport trying to book a last minute hotel on my phone and I tapped the "Pay Now" button 4 times before realizing it was buried under the keyboard popup, has anyone else run into this with mobile checkout forms?
Isn't that kind of on you though for not noticing the keyboard was covering half the screen before tapping? These apps usually have a scroll option or you can just close the keyboard by tapping the done button. It's annoying but I feel like it's more of a user error than bad design.
3 times in a row last month with a rental car app. Kept tapping the confirm button but nothing happened. Finally realized the keyboard was covering half the page. I felt like a monkey trying to solve a puzzle. My thumb got a workout at least. At this rate I'll develop carpal tunnel just trying to book a hotel room.
