DAE realize they were stripping coax wrong for years?

Got lucky with that one test" makes it sound like a fluke, but a 3 dB jump is huge. It makes me wonder how many times you've actually tested this yourself. Have you ever tried the same cable with two different trim lengths back to back? What were your results? I'd trust a real measurement over just repeating what we've all been told about the braid.

My old impact wrench gave out halfway through a brake job yesterday

That DeWalt is a solid choice. The extra power really helps on bigger jobs, especially with rusty bolts.

Hot take: I thought those cheap magnetic welding blankets were a total scam

My uncle in Akron bought one of those and it fell off his fender the first time he used an angle grinder near it. Maybe you just got lucky with a good batch. It's still just a thin sheet with magnets, not some magic shop upgrade. I'll stick with my old clips and a real blanket until I see one last more than a season.

Pro tip: I thought a bright orange call to action button would always get more clicks...

Oof, guess @the_sage and I learned the hard way that loud colors can just scream "don't click me.

Back in the day, we learned to rasp the hoof wall before nailing. I keep seeing folks skip that step and it drives me nuts.

Wait, really? I've been shoeing for years and I honestly don't rasp the wall every single time. If the hoof is prepped right and the nail is placed well, it's fine. I save that step for when the wall is really flaky or needs extra help.
