Vent: my dentist's booking app lied about availability 4 times

I booked a cleaning through their portal last week in Austin, got a confirmation for 10am Tuesday, showed up and they had no record. The front desk said the app syncs wrong with their schedule. Four failed attempts later I just called, and the phone took 2 minutes. Has anyone else dealt with a booking system that makes you distrust the whole business?

The app syncing wrong with their schedule is exactly what burned me with my old dentist. I stopped trusting the portal completely and started calling the morning of every appointment just to confirm. It felt dumb at first, but it saved me from wasting gas and time more than once.
