Spent $60 on a fancy silicone baking mat that slid around and ruined my macarons.
It curled up in the oven heat, batter leaked underneath, and I lost a whole batch of 30 shells after spending 2 hours on them. Anyone else had a silicone mat that just wouldn't stay flat?

Oh man, that sucks, I mean maybe the pan was just too smooth for the mat?

And honestly @charlie_stone72, that reminds me of my friend Jenna who tried to use one of those non-stick silicone mats on a really old cast iron pan. The mat just slid around like a hockey puck on ice, no joke, it was flying off every time she tried to flip a pancake. She ended up giving up and just buttering the pan directly instead, which worked way better for her anyway.

Honestly, silicone mats work great if you stop treating them like parchment paper. A light spray of water under the mat before it goes in the oven fixes the sliding problem every time.
