Found a vintage barber pole light in my grandpa's attic, but getting it to work took forever
Turns out the old transformer was shot and I had to find a guy in Chicago who still makes parts for them. Anyone know a good source for restoring these old signs?

Had the same issue with a neon clock. Ended up finding a local neon shop that does custom rewinds, they saved my life.

How did you even find a neon shop these days? I had to drive an hour to the next city over when my sign started flickering, but they fixed it in an afternoon. Those old school places are total lifesavers.
