Showing a new guy how we used to do scissor over comb

I was training a young barber last Tuesday. He had never seen scissor over comb done without guards. I explained how it was standard before clipper guards got so popular. It made me think about how much faster things are now. But there's still a place for those old skills.

I mean, is scissor over comb even that important now?

Scissor over comb is still key for certain cuts. Gives you control on textured hair that clippers can't match. Skip it and the finish just won't look as clean.
