A customer told me my torque wrench clicks were too quiet to trust
They said if they can't hear it clearly over shop noise, they doubt the setting. I started checking with a second gauge after that and found my old one was off by 3 Nm. Do you guys rely on sound or always verify another way?

That "bad way to check a tool" thing is everywhere. People guess instead of measure. They assume their tire pressure is fine until it's flat. They think the fridge is cold enough until the milk goes sour. It's a whole mindset of reacting to failure instead of preventing it. Drives me nuts.
