Wish my boss would figure this out already.

Honestly I used to think keeping old gear running was smart cost cutting. Then our 90s injection molder cracked a platen and took out the whole cooling loop. The three days of downtime cost way more than a new machine payment.

Still mix my own for most jobs. That bagged stuff just doesn't set up right for me. I like knowing exactly what's in it.

Sounds pretty dramatic for a tiny piece of plastic.

My buddy Carl bought some of that fire gel last year for a camping trip. He tried to start a fire with it in his backyard fire pit on a damp evening. The stuff just sort of fizzed and made a weird blue smoke for about thirty seconds, then went out completely. He ended up using old newspaper and kindling like usual.
