Last week in the shop, a customer insisted his creaking noise was a 'bottom bracket poltergeist' and asked if I could perform an exorcism.

He was dead serious, so I charged him $60 for a 'spiritual realignment' which was just a full drivetrain clean, new chain, and proper torque on the crank bolts, and he left convinced the ghost was gone, so has anyone else had to get creative with a customer's bizarre diagnosis?

Totally legal. They find loopholes all the time. Just how the game works.
