Had to choose between using a $40 bottle of white truffle oil or just finishing the dish with good butter for a table of 8 last night.

Honestly, sending a dish back twice over truffle oil is a bit much. It's just oil. Maybe they had a bad day and took it out on the plate. The butter was probably the better call anyway.

Was it maybe just a fancy oil they saw on some cooking show?

Pro tip: I tried a cheap aftermarket fuel filter on a 6.7 Powerstroke and it actually ran smoother

Honestly, it's one filter change on one truck. Could be a fluke or maybe your old filter was just extra clogged. Tbh I've seen cheap filters fail way early and cause rough starts in cold weather. Not saying you need the crazy expensive stuff, but there's a reason shops stick with known brands. Sometimes saving twenty bucks now costs more later.

I never saw the point of prompts for office stuff... but a session on career jumps made it click for me.

Same here, they always felt like busy work. But that session showed me how a good prompt can totally reframe how you see your own skills. I was stuck thinking about my job title, but the prompts made me list out what I actually do every day. Suddenly I had a clear list of things I could take to a different role. It was less about filling out a form and more about forcing yourself to see the pieces you have to work with, you know?
