Went to the old mall in Akron and the anime shop is just a phone case kiosk now.
It made me think about how the whole vibe of finding people to talk anime with has moved from physical stores to online forums like this one, which is kinda sad but also way more convenient, right?

No way, a phone case kiosk? That place used to have the best selection of weird Gundam model kits. I remember digging through their bins for old Evangelion DVDs. It's just sad to see that whole corner of the mall, the one spot you knew you could find other fans, turn into something so generic. Sure, finding people online is easier, but you don't get those random conversations over a shelf of manga anymore.

Maybe it's just me but @ericjackson, I kind of like the phone case spot. Those old bins were a mess and the prices were wild. Now I can grab a charger and a case without digging through dusty boxes. The online groups I'm in are way better for finding specific model kits anyway.
